Who created ResortAuthority.com?

Todd Zurcher and James Churches, principals of Organic Marketing Innovations Group, LLC, www.theOMIgroup.com, came up with the concept of ResortAuthority.com in October of 2008. They specifically chose the 2009 National Association of Realtors (NAR) Resort and Second Home Property Specialist (RSPS) Symposium, to introduce their concept to an audience of specialized real estate brokers and agents.  The reception was overwhelming, so they decided move forward with the launch of ResortAuthority.com.

Why did they do it?

For the last 15 years Todd has worked on the developer’s side of the resort business. During that time he struggled, as many resort developers still do, to figure out how to get Real Estate Professionals from remote locations engaged in marketing the resorts he represented. At his last project in Mexico, he took matters into his own hands and created a small Real Estate Professional referral program for that specific resort.

In just two years the program was very successful, and sold nearly $10 million in property, but did not have enough reach to attract more than a few hundred Real Estate Professionals. Todd realized that expanding the number of resort participants would create a more interesting range of options, both for Real Estate Professionals and for the people they introduce to the site. A larger selection of resorts gives ResortAuthority.com a continuous stream of good reasons to connect with its Members.  Likewise, it gives its Members good reasons to connect with the people they believe may be interested.
